Baby Blankets for Bosom Buddies

Bosom Buddies is a charity in South Africa that delivers care packages to new mothers at the local rural hospital. They have a good page explaining what they do and what the situation is like. Basically, the mothers they are helping are so poor and have nothing - no blankets, no baby clothes, and no help.

I'm not a very good knitter, and I know there are so many generous people out there who can help. Participants in this knit along will knit or crochet baby blankets to send to Bosom Buddies. You can send your blankets (and any old baby clothes that you might also want to donate) to me in Maryland, and I'll put together a big package to send to South Africa. I'll also include any messages you have for the new moms or the charity.
